Mixing
media in her sculptures has always interested Christina. She creates
these pieces with found material such as leaves, thorns, pelts,
rope, skulls, straw, pottery shards, horns, antlers, etc. Whenever
the object is perishable, she coats it with fiberglass resin which
also helps stiffen the material. Many of Christina's welded steel
sculptures have details in mixed media, often horns, antlers or
broom heads. |
